New Images of Adi Shankar's Bootleg "Judge Dredd" Webseries Debut

Amongst all the calls for a "Dredd" sequel, the film's executive producer Adi Shankar has something to tide fans over: an animated web series based on the popular "Dark Judges" storyarc of "Judge Dredd." Dubbed "Superfiend," the seven-episode miniseries is part of Shankar's "Bootleg Universe" series, the same line that spawned the "Dirty Laundry" Punisher fan film and the "Truth in Journalism" Venom fan film.

EW.com has posted several new looks at the "Superfiend" short, along with a poster. The web series is set to debut later this month. While it may not be a direct sequel to "Dredd," EW states the series is "intended as a kind of sequel" to the fan-favorite film.
