The identity of the new Green Arrow has been revealed. "Unmasked," the latest episode of Arrow, made good on its title and and introduced Emiko Queen as the new Emerald Archer.

After a brief recap, the episode opened with a glimpse into Emiko's life. As the camera panned across a barren warehouse, it showed Emiko sleeping on a makeshift bed. She snapped awake suddenly, then leapt to her feet. Her first order of business was the rings; she used them for a series of pull-ups and other exercises with increasing difficulty. After she finished up, she made herself a smoothie and turned on the news, which played a special report about Oliver. With an eye on the TV, she suited up, pulling on her personal Green Arrow ensemble.

Oliver had his first encounter with Emiko in the episode. After a shooting made it look as though the new Green Arrow had assassinated some attendees at a gala in Oliver's honor, Rene "Wild Dog" Ramirez arranged a meeting with her and brought Oliver and Dinah along. Emiko soon appeared on a nearby rooftop and, using a voice modulator, said, "I told you to come along."

Rene insisted that Oliver and Dinah were his friends and introduced them. Oliver asked her to cooperate, as many thought she was guilty of murder. When Oliver asked if she was, she took off. Oliver gave chase, but hesitated a moment too long when she used a grappling hook arrow to swing across to another rooftop. This gave her time to hop on a motorcycle and get away.

While they were unable to learn more about her, the encounter had a positive fallout. Another murder took place while they were talking to Emiko, which proved she was not the only suspect. They eventually found the real culprit, even though they didn't learn more about her.

Emiko didn't resurface until the end of the episode, where she was seen kneeling in front of a grave. "Hey, Dad. Turns out Oliver is more like you than I thought," she said. "More like me, too. But I'm not giving up. Not ever." As the camera panned around her, it revealed the name on the gravestone: Robert Queen, which makes her Oliver's half-sister.
