Only wars can save Egypt from descending into chaos in the latest TV trailer for "Gods of Egypt," which pits god against god in a mythic battle.

Directed by Alex Proyas (“The Crow,” “Dark City”), the film centers on an unexpected mortal hero (Brenton Thwaites) who must enlist the help of the god Horus (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) to save the world and rescue his true love. They must form an unlikely alliance against Set (Gerard Butler), the merciless god of darkness, who has usurped Egypt’s throne, plunging the once-peaceful and prosperous empire into chaos and conflict.

Opening Feb. 26, “Gods of Egypt” also stars Chadwick Boseman, Geoffrey Rush, Rufus Sewell, Abbey Lee, Courtney Eaton and Elodie Yung.
