A recent tweet by Blerds Online claimed that, even with all six Infinity Stones, Darkseid would still defeat the Mad Titan. According to the account, the Titans were killed by the New Gods, so Darkseid would easily be able to handle Thanos with or without the Infinity Gauntlet.

Not willing to let her franchise down, DuVernay retweeted Blerds Online's tweet, writing, "A little louder for the people in the back."

Details regarding the plot and cast of New Gods have been kept under wraps, but DuVernay did say that there is a high chance she will cast someone from her Netflix series When They See Us.

"In each of my narrative projects since my first film entitled I Will Follow, I bring over an actor from the last project I made," she said. "So, yes, there is a 99.9% chance this will happen again."

Directed by Ava DuVernay with a script by DuVernay and Tom King, New Gods currently has no release date or cast announced.
