After three action-packed trailers for "Mad Max: Fury Road," Warner Bros. slows down the pace by retracing the history of George Miller's post-apocalyptic franchise, from 1979's "Mad Max" to 1985's "Thunderdome."

However, as the footage so helpfully reminds us, "all the power, all the chaos, all the madness" of those first three films "has led to now." Of course, now is the irrefutably gorgeous "Fury Road." What a lovely day, indeed.

Opening May 15, "Mad Max: Fury Road" stars Tom Hardy, Charlize Theron, Nathan Jones, Zoe Kravitz, Riley Keough, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Abbey Lee, Courtney Eaton, Josh Helman, Jennifer Hagan and iOTA.
