The first official photos of The Flash's second episode feature Jay Garrick and the mysterious Julian Dorn.
The CW has been revealing more and more about the new season of “The Flash,” and now, photos from the season's second episode gives fans a sneak peak at John Wesley Shipp in full costume as Jay Garrick, Tom Felton as the mysterious Julian Dorn and the state of affairs as we enter the show's "Flashpoint" reality.
The atmosphere in the photos gives off an icy tone between Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) and nearly every other character -- except Jay Garrick (John Wesley Shipp), Henry Allen’s other-dimensional doppelganger, confirming a lot of the Season 3 spoilers revealed at Comic-Con International.
Season 3 begins in the aftermath of Barry Allen’s return to the past in an attempt to avert his mother’s murder and his father being sent to prison, thus creating an alternate timeline - a Flashpoint - in which only Barry is aware of the relationships he once had with the other characters.
The appearance of Julian Dorn (Tom Felton) in the photos confirms what’s known and, possibly, even some theories about the character. “He’s a direct result of 'Flashpoint,'” executive producer Todd Helbing explains. These photos confirm Dorn’s presence as a CSI in the same lab as Allen, and hint at their “prickly” relationship. Fans have made guesses, however, at Dorn’s ulterior motives, even theorizing that he may be Flash’s twin brother Cobalt Blue, or possibly even Doctor Alchemy.
"The Flash's" season premiere, “Flashpoint” airs Tuesday, October 4; the aftermath of "Paradox" unfurls the following week, on October 11.
