Did a Brooklyn leather goods boutique break news that Hugh Jackman will indeed play the role that made him famous in Bryan Singer's "X-Men: Apocalypse?"

Jackman and Singer have been slow to confirm any potential Logan sighting in the franchise's next installment til now, but the game may be up, as an image posted to Instagram by the custom leather bag designers at Kikany indicates that the company is hard at work building a new backpack for Jackman, intended for use during the shooting of the 2016 X-flick in Montreal. It was not immediately clear whether or not the animal-hide duffle would be of any aid in sharpening the claws of the best there is at what he does. But the bag does look pretty.

We were just asked to make a special duffle backpack for Hugh Jackman who is filming the new X MEN movie in Montreal. We started sketching - The bag will be ready next week- we will keep you posted! #hughjackman #Xmen #movie #backpack #special A photo posted by KikaNY (@kikanyleathergoods) on

Fans have seen Jackman as Wolverine in seven movies since his debut in 2000's "X-Men," also directed by Bryan Singer, and Jackman has made news of late with the pronouncement that 2017's third "Wolverine" film, directed by James Mangold, will mark the end of his tenure playing the character. That has begged the question of whether he may strap on the claws more times before then, however, either in "Apocalypse," 2016's "Deadpool" feature, or both. Jackman seemed to relish teasing out the mystery, but his desire for a cool custom backpack may have spoiled the surprise.
