New Doctor Who Trailer Is Creepy, Glorious (And Gloriously Creepy)

If the banner, prequel clip and promo image already have you excited for the upcoming sixth season of Doctor Who, then brace yourselves because this new full-length trailer is pretty amazing.

It gives us plenty of glimpses of the Doctor (Matt Smith), Amy (Karen Gillan), Rory (Arthur Darvill) and River Song (Alex Kingston), of course, as well as flashes of intriguing new characters and creatures that are both wonderful and creepy -- little doll-beings, a ventriloquist's dummy and a sad clown (shudder).

Best of all, though, it delivers one of those moments, like in "The Family of Blood," where we're reminded how chilling, and powerful, the Doctor can be: "Fear me," an ominous voice says from off-screen, "I've killed hundreds of Time Lords." To that the Doctor replies, "Fear me, I've killed all of them."

The sixth season of Doctor Who begins Saturday, April 23, at 9 p.m. ET/PT on BBC America.
