New "Deadpool" Set Photos Surface, Reveal Familiar Scene

In a few new set photos, "Deadpool" appears to be re-shooting the test footage that generated the most recent influx of public interest in the film.

The photos surfaced on Twitter and Instagram as filming continued in Vancouver. They show someone dressed as Deadpool, standing in and around the wreckage of a destroyed car. In the test footage, the character takes out four mercenaries in a moving SUV, resulting in a comedic rollover. For comparison, check out both the photos and the original test footage below.

The movie, which stars Ryan Reynolds in the titular role, will follow Deadpool after he undergoes a procedure that gives him advanced healing abilities. With a mask, a dark sense of humor and the moniker Deadpool, the former Special Forces operative pursues the man who created him. Morena Baccarin and T.J. Miller will also star as Copycat and Weasel.

"Deadpool" is scheduled for a release on February 12, 2016.
