Details of a brand new Crash Bandicoot game have seemingly leaked early online, and the latest addition to the long-running franchise could be coming soon to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

According to Gematsu, the Taiwan Digital Game Rating Committee has a listing for Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time. In addition to a look at the cover art, Gematsu has the following description of what players can expect: "Crash is relaxing and exploring his island in his time, 1998, when he finds a mysterious mask hidden away in a cave, Lani-Loli. The mask is one of the Quantum Masks and apparently knows Aku-Aku, Crash's mask friend! With the Quantum Masks returning and a Quantum Rift appearing near our heroes, they decide to bravely head through to different times and dimensions to stop whoever is responsible."

Rumors of another Crash game started circulating in November 2019. Although Naughty Dog was the original developer of 1996's Crash Bandicoot, the franchise changed hands several times over the years, and after a five-year hiatus, Vicarious Visions developed the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy under Activision for the PS4. Just like 2018's N. Sane Trilogy port for Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows, the next game is set to be developed by Toys for Bob.

Fans will have to wait and see whether Activision is going to officially announce Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time and whether it's just on the two consoles or if a Switch and PC version are also on the horizon.
