DC celebrates Pride Month with a special one-shot in the new comics this week.

Out on Tuesday is DC Pride 2023 #1, an annual anthology one-shot celebrating DC's LGBTQIA+ characters. The third Pride one-shot to be released since 2021, this year's contains 10 different stories, including a Multiversity tale written by Grant Morrison and a new Dreamer story from Supergirl actor Nicole Maines. The issue also features a forward from artist Phil Jimenez, which can be read in the preview available. Based on main cover artwork, stories present may showcase characters like Poison Ivy, Dreamer, Superman/Jon Kent, Robin/Tim Drake, Steel/Natasha Irons and The Flash/Jess Chambers.

Meanwhile, with the one-shot Power Girl Special #1, writer Leah Williams and artist Marguerite Sauvage wrap up their Power Girl backup story told across Action Comics #1051 through #1053. After gaining new telepathic abilities from DC's Lazarus Planet event, Power Girl has been working with Omen to help superheroes with their mental health. However, their new mission has brought them up against the Justice Society villain Johnny Sorrow. The one-shot will set up DC's new Power Girl series launching in September, while its backup story does the same for the Fire & Ice: Welcome to Smallville title debuting that same month.

Aside from Pride and Power Girl, it's a light week for DC readers. The only other issues out include Detective Comics #1072 and Icon vs. Hardware #3. The former continues the "Gotham Nocturne" storyline launched with Detective Comics #1062. The latter serves as the halfway point for Milestone's five-issue miniseries pitting Icon and Hardware against one another. Main cover artwork and solicitation details for these two issues can be found alphabetically below. DC's next batch of new comics goes on sale May 30.
