While the Avengers 4 trailer still isn't out yet, ESPN's Monday Night Football will be giving Marvel fans an early holiday gift tomorrow night with a brand new trailer for Captain Marvel, which is scheduled to drop during the broadcast.
Over the past week, anticipation for some morsel of news about the MCU reached new heights amid rumors of long-promised, imminent Avengers 4 details. While there was some speculation that the Avengers trailer would hit the airwaves tomorrow, a surprise glimpse at Captain Marvel should be enough to hold audiences over for a little while longer. Marvel Studios confirmed the air date and time via a tweet posted late today, much to the joy of the MCU fans everywhere.
Anticipation for the latest installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe has already been ramping up lately, with Marvel Studios releasing a motion poster 100 day countdown last Tuesday. The original trailer picked up more views than the trailers for Black Panther and Captain America: Civil War achieved in a similar time frame, which could indicate how much of a juggernaut this film is set to be.
The Captain Marvel trailer is expected to air at halftime of ESPN's Monday Night Football tomorrow, Dec. 3.
Directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, Captain Marvel stars Brie Larson, Jude Law, Samuel L. Jackson, Djimon Hounsou, Mckenna Grace, Gemma Chan, Ben Mendelsohn, Lee Pace, Annette Bening, and Rune Temte. It will premiere in theaters worldwide March 8, 2018.
