New "Captain America" Trailer Explores the Road to "Civil War"

Titled "The Past Is Prelude," the teaser illustrates how Cap and Iron Man's approaches to superheroing have diverged.

With the debut of "Captain America: Civil War" mere weeks away, Marvel Studios has released a new teaser trailer that quickly recaps how the film's main heroes -- Cap and Iron Man -- have evolved from the start of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Titled "The Past Is Prelude," the minute-long trailer combined footage from the previous Captain America and Iron Man films with "Civil War" scenes, illustrating that while friends, the two icons may have never truly been on the same page.

Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo and starring Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan and more, "Captain America: Civil War" opens on May 6, 2016.
