A new behind-the-scenes snapshot of "Supergirl" star Melissa Benoist in costume has surfaced online via KryptonSite's Twitter account. The photo shows Benoist standing in an office wearing her best primary colors, which look a little brighter than those in the official costume reveal.

The show will follow Kara Zor-El, a Kryptonian stranded on Earth following the destruction of her home planet Krypton. Assuming the name Kara Danvers, she decides to come out of hiding at the age of 24 and really use her super abilities for good.

"Supergirl" stars Benoist as Kara, Mehcad Brooks as Jimmy Olsen, Laura Benanti as Alura Zor-El, Calista Flockhart as Cat Grant, Chlyer Leigh as Supergirl's sister Alex, David Harewood as Hank Henshaw and Jeremy Jordan as Winslow Schott.

The pilot is directed by Glen Winter, whose past credits include "Smallville," "Arrow" and "The Flash." "Arrow" veterans Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg are both on board as executive producers.

"Supergirl" is currently in production at CBS.
