The Dude abides -- again. Iron Man star Jeff Bridges dropped a tease for a new The Big Lebowski project on his official Twitter account that features brand new footage of him as the Dude.
"Can't be living in the past, man. Stay tuned," he captioned the video.

The end of the teaser announces the date February 3, 2019 -- which is, coincidentally, the same day as the Super Bowl. It is unclear at the time of writing if Bridges' Big Lebowski character will appear in a Super Bowl commercial only or if the teaser will herald a new project based on the cult classic film.
Notably, the copyright notice at the bottom of the teaser attributes the footage to Universal Studios, which owns the property. As such, it would appear this is not a Netflix series, despite the Coen Brothers' recent work with the streaming service.
The teaser opens with a shot of a smashed dinner plate and drinking glass, then pans up to show Bridges' Dude facing away from the camera. He turns to look directly at the viewer, looks over the rim of his sunglasses, then chuckles to himself as he steps out of frame. In the next shot, a tumbleweed drifts down a city sidewalk, revealing the February date.
The Coen Brothers' The Big Lebowski originally released in theaters in March 1998. Bridges starred alongside John Goodman, Julianne Moore, Steve Buscemi, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Tara Reid and more.
