While 2019's Avengers: Endgame seemed to close the book for several of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's most popular heroes, there are still more Avengers films to come according to Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige.

"I would have to think so," Feige told IGN when asked if there were plans for a future Avengers film. "I would have to say yes, at some point." This is far from an official confirmation for any future big-screen Avengers project. However, with the box office success of Endgame, it is a sure bet that the Avengers will return to theaters sometime in the future.

Marvel Studios is about to start rolling out Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with WandaVision debuting on Disney+ on Jan. 15. Other Phase Four projects include The Falcon and the Winter SoldierLokiMs. MarvelEternalsThor: Love and ThunderDoctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and many more.

Directed by Joss Whedon, The Avengers released in 2012 and showcased the first big-screen team-up of popular Marvel characters like Iron Man/Tony Stark, Captain America/Steve Rogers, Black Widow/Natasha Romanoff, Hulk/Bruce Banner and Thor. These characters would also appear in all follow-up Avengers movies, including 2015's Avengers: Age of Ultron, 2018's Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame.

Endgame featured the deaths of two of the founding Avengers — Black Widow and Iron Man. Captain America, meanwhile, returned to the 1940s/1950s to live out his life with Peggy Carter. While Black Widow is starring in her own solo prequel film, the only future project that Tony Stark and Steve Rogers are confirmed to appear in is the animated TV series, What If...?.

However, many other characters joined the ranks of the Avengers throughout the years, including Spider-Man/Peter Parker, Stephen Strange/Doctor Strange, Wanda Maximoff/Scarlett Witch, Scott Lang/Ant-Man and the Vision. These are just some of the names that could make up a new Avengers roster.

Thanks to Disney's recent acquisition of 20th Century Fox — now known as 20th Century Studios — some of the most popular characters from Marvel Comics will also be joining the MCU, including the Fantastic Four. Feige recently confirmed that the new Deadpool film would take place in the MCU and would be the Universe's first R-rated film.
