Two new trailers have arrived for the two-movie adaptation of "Attack on Titan," providing the first look at the 3D maneuver gear in action.

In Hajime Isayama's hit manga, the last remnants of humanity are forced live within a country surrounded by three enormous walls to protect themselves from remorseless, flesh-eating giants. The 3D maneuver gear is worn by the military in its battles against the Titans, allowing soldiers to propel themselves into the air with grapple hooks and a gas mechanism, thereby moving them closer to the giants' only known weak spot: the back of the neck.

Directed by Shinji Higuchi, under the supervision of manga creator Hajime Isayama, the first film, titled simply “Attack on Titan,” opens Aug. 1 in Japan, and the second, “Attack on Titan: End of the World,” arrives Sept. 19.

Anime News Network has translations for both videos.
