"Arrow" is currently on a bit of hiatus, with no new episode scheduled to air until March 18. But there is still news emanating from the fan-favorite DC Comics-based CW series, starting with hints regarding a major villain for next season via TVLine, who report the character will first appear in the finale of the show's currently unfolding third season.

TVLine report that the character is being referred to internally as "Damian Dark," leading that outlet to speculate it may be Damian Wayne, Bruce's son and DC's most recent Robin. Given that "Gotham" has been telling a very different side of Bruce Wayne's story on Fox and that Damian is traditionally depicted in comic books as around 12 years old, that feels like a long shot, but feel free to burn through your own guesses from now until May.

Series star Stephen Amell has been praised for his use of social media, and he's taken to both Facebook and Twitter to tease what appears to be the impending farewell of an "Arrow" player. Monday on Twitter, Amell wrote, "Sometimes real feelings creep into a scene. Goodbyes are tough. Even when they're scripted." That same day on Facebook, he stated, "Putting the finishing touches on our 65th episode tonight. It features one of the most emotional, touching and heartfelt scenes we've ever produced. Everyone was equal to the task. Long day, but a good one."

It's not yet known who the goodbye was directed to, or what made the scene so emotional, but given that he's talking about the show's 65th episode -- which will be episode 19 of the current season -- fans will likely be able to see for themselves sometime in April.

"Arrow" returns with a new episode, "The Offer," March 18 on The CW.
