The trailer for Ridley Scott's "Alien: Covenant" is finally here.

The trailer opens with a group of settlers, who have their ever-Machiavellian Michael Fassbender android character in tow. At first, it appears as though their mission to find a new planet that can sustain human life is successful. As "Alien" fans might expect, though, that perception changes very quickly. The trailer leaves our team of humans looking hopelessly outmatched in the face of the Alien(s), with face-huggers and all kinds of Alien creatures galore.

In anticipation of the new trailer, 20th Century Fox released a new poster for the film earlier today. Those familiar with the “Alien” franchise will immediately recognize the image as a Xenomorph egg, known in-film as an Ovomorph -- and there ended up being plenty of those in the hair-raising trailer.
