There are a few things fans of the original G.L.O.W. are looking for in the upcoming Netflix series based on the cult-classic '80s wrestling federation. And with its pink neon ring ropes and gaudily-patterened spandex, the first teaser for the show looks like it's going to deliver.

The teaser not only offers a hint of what to expect from the series, it gives us the debut date of June 23, at which time every episode will be available via Netflix's streaming service.

Starring "Community" alum Alison Brie as Ruth, a struggling actress whose last attempt at an acting career finds her starring in a weekly wrestling show., “G.L.O.W.” is a fictionalized account of the real women’s pro-wrestling league that rose in popularity in the ’80s. The series comes from creator Jenji Kohan (“Orange is the New Black”) and was co-created Liz Flahive and Carly Mensch.

The series was first announced back in May when Netflix ordered a 10-episode season of the series. The original syndicated series ran for four seasons from 1986-1990, lasting a total of 104 episodes. Unlike other professional wrestling programs, like the WWF (now known as the WWE), the syndicated “G.L.O.W.” series ran for 26-episode seasons that were reran, similar to traditional scripted shows.
