In the lead up to its April debut, Netflix and Marvel Studios' incoming TV series "Daredevil" has shined a spotlight on any number of its creative staff from star Charlie Cox to showrunner Steven DeKnight.
But this week, one of the most vital behind-the-camera components of a show's success was released in full: the writing staff. Seeing as Netflix series drop their entire season in one fell swoop, the writers behind "Daredevil" have been assembled for a while, but fans have been blind to their work.
Yesterday, The Writers Guild Foundation released a full list of contributors to the series while promoting an upcoming panel event, and the names including longtime comics and TV scribe Christos Gage as well as his wife, veteran TV writer Ruth Gage. Both of them made their mark on "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" before Chris launched his comics career. The pair will be joined by "American Horror Story's" Douglas Petrie and newcomer Luke Kalteaux to round out the staff. The entire "Daredevil" crew will appear on an April 18 panel hosted by the Guild.
"Daredevil" stars Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock/Daredevil, Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Rosario Dawson as Claire Temple, Ayelet Zurer as Vanessa Marianna and Vincent D'Onofrio as the Kingpin. All 13 episodes of "Daredevil" debut on Netflix on April 10.
