Netflix's Carmen Sandiego Returning for Season 2

Less than a month since its premiere on Netflix and the animated revival of Carmen Sandiego has been confirmed to receive a second season on the premium streaming service.

A post on the animated series' official Twitter account earlier this week confirmed the world's greatest thief would return for more international adventures at a future date as the red fedora-wearing burglar continues target global treasures as a professional thief.

It should be noted that when Netflix first ordered the series in April 2017, the streaming service ordered 20 episodes. With only nine episodes in the first season, the second season will likely include the remaining eleven episodes in the initial production order.

The practice of ordering multiple seasons in advance has become fairly commonplace for Netflix, with fellow animated series She-Ra and the Princesses of Power and Voltron: Legendary Defender each receiving multiple season orders. This has also carried over to several of Netflix's live-action original programming with Chilling Adventures of Sabrina receiving a two-season order as part of its initial deal.
