After airing for its first season on Lifetime, the psychological thriller series You moves to Netflix, and the full cast has assembled in a haunting new promo.The teaser clip includes new cast members Victoria Pedretti and Chris D'Elia, as well as the revelation that Season 2 arrives Dec. 26.
Season 1 followed New York City bookstore manager and serial killer Joe Goldberg, portrayed by Penn Badgley, who became obsessed with customer Guinevere Beck. As Joe stalked Guinevere through the city and on social media, he eliminated anyone he perceived a threat for her affections. Season 2 will follow Joe as he makes his way to Los Angeles and falls for a chef and fitness guru, with a new cast of characters in the sunny change of setting.
Lifetime originally ordered You for a second season shortly before its series premiere in September 2018. Unsatisfied with viewership numbers, Lifetime reversed its renewal decision, with Netflix acquiring the series and it becoming a popular streaming favorite after its arrival on the digital platform.
You stars Penn Badgley, Victoria Pedretti, James Scully, Robin Lord Taylor and Chris D'Elia. The series returns to Netflix for Season 2 on Dec. 26.
