The Netflix series will be based on Andrzej Sapkowski's book series and not the popular video games by CD Projekt Red. The series follows Geralt of Rivia (Henry Cavill), a monster hunter and the titular Witcher, as he deals with destiny and attempts to protect the princess Ciri (Freya Allan). The gritty fantasy universe is filled with an abundance of violence and magic.

The Witcher stars Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia, Anya Chalotra as Yennefer of Vengerberg, Freya Allan as Ciri and Joey Batey as Jaskier. The series will be available to stream this fall.
