After slipping into a classroom and breaking into the teacher's desk, the rebellious teenager discovers what she's looking for: A seemingly haunted toy she calls Bearzebub. Beyond reuniting the legendary comedy duo of Key and Peele, Wendell and Wild sees Coraline director Henry Selick return to the world of stop-motion animation. The film chronicles the adventure of the titular demon brothers, voiced by Key and Peele, as they "escape the Underworld and find themselves in a town where they must evade demon-duster teenager Kat, who is trying to destroy them." The movie also stars Angela Basset (Black Panther, Mission Impossible - Fallout), James Hong (Big Trouble in Little China, Kung Fu Panda) and Tamara Smart (Resident Evil, A Babysitter's Guide to Monster Hunting).

"I reached out to him [Peele] and talked about the idea for the project, and meeting and getting to collaborate with him as well as Keegan-Michael Key, has been a dream come true for me,” Selick said of the project. "Wendell and Wild was an old idea for me, and Jordan wanted to come on as more than just voice talent. He wanted to collaborate, to be a producer, to work on story and writing, and the project has changed in so many good ways as a result of working with him.”
