Netflix just introduced its first VTuber (Virtual YouTuber), anime ambassador N-ko Mei Kuruno.

N-ko, an anime-loving "sheep-human life-form" played by an unnamed actor, will host The N-ko Show on the Netflix Anime YouTube channel, where she'll discuss news relating to Netflix's anime series. The first episode of The N-ko show is scheduled to premiere on April 30 at 10 a.m. JT (April 29 at 9 p.m. ET).

N-ko was revealed in a self-introduction video. Though she mostly speaks in Japanese, N-ko grew up in California and is fluent in both Japanese and English. She discusses her likes (singing, dancing and massages) and dislikes (writing kanji and horror) as well as plans for The N-ko Show including promises of collaborations with other VTubers and interest in music and gaming coverage in addition to the planned anime discussion.

Rob Pereyda, Netflix's Head of Anime - Editorial & Publishing, said, "Through N-ko, our team is excited to join the exciting anime conversations already happening online and to be able to share all the great anime Netflix has ahead. Please join me in welcoming N-ko to the anime world!"

The first episode of The N-ko Show premieres on April 30 at 10 a.m. JT (April 29 at 9 p.m. ET) on YouTube.
