Netflix's adaptation of The Umbrella Academy has added five more cast members to its roster. Tom Hopper, Emmy Raver-Lampman, David Castañeda, Robert Sheehan and Aidan Gallagher will play Luther, Allison, Diego, Klaus and Number Five, respectively.

The live-action series, based on the Eisner award-winning Dark Horse Comics series written by Gerard Way and illustrated by Gabriel Ba, will follow a dysfunctional family of superheroes called the Umbrella Academy as they solve their father Reginald Hardgraves’ mysterious death, all while coming apart at the seams because of their wildly different personalities and superhuman powers.

Hopper, best known for his roles on Starz' Black Sails and HBO's Game of Thrones, will play Luther, who was groomed by his father become the leader of the Umbrella Academy. According to the official release, Hopper "is resilient, a workaholic, and possess the ability of heightened physical strength." Luther is described as "upstanding to a fault" and a person who always tries to do the right thing.

Raver-Lampman's character, Allison, is a beautiful former actor with the power of suggestion -- she makes anything she says happen. She comes across as a perfect person, but her special talent causes all her relationships to crumble, which has led her to suppress her powers.

Castaneda's Diego is a skilled vigilante who doesn't like being told what to do. Diego isn't as smart or strong as his siblings, but he's the hardest working. Diego believes he should be the leader instead of Luther, and the chip he carries on his shoulder makes him tough to work with.

Gallagher, best known for his role in the Emmy-winning Nickelodeon series Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn, will play Number Five, a person who appears to be 13-year-old boy, but is actually a 58-year-old man stuck in a child's body. A functional genius, Number Five doesn't have time for foolishness, but he struggles with his personal demons.

Sheehan, who became known for his breakout role in Misfits, plays Klaus, a drug addict and "lovable mess of a human being." Klaus is a classic middle child and a people pleaser, though he can turn coat at any moment.

Ellen Page was previously announced as part of the cast of the upcoming series. She will play the loner Vanya, the only sibling with seemingly no superpowers.

Debuting in 2018, The Umbrella Academy is a production of Netflix adapted by Jeremy Slater.
