A Hillsborough County Sheriff in Florida is asking for new leads in the Jack "Don" Lewis cold case from Netflix's Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness series, which has become a viral sensation in the wake of the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic."Since @netflix and #Covid19 #Quarantine has made #TigerKing all the rage, I figured it was a good time to ask," tweeted Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister.RELATED: Tiger King's Carole Baskin Is the Subject of Kate McKinnon-Starring Show

Lewis, 81, was last seen on August 18, 1997, in Tampa Bay, Florida. Many people believe the exotic big cat owner was killed by someone, with the main suspect being his former wife, Carole Baskin. His disappearance is talked about in length during Episode 3 of Tiger King.

Throughout the entire series, star Joe Exotic, aka the Tiger King, repeatedly accuses Baskin of killing Lewis and feeding his body to the tigers he owned. Lewis' family also believes Baskin, who has since taken over the big cat sanctuary and remarried, is responsible. She has denied having anything to do with what happened to Lewis.
