In a new promo for the hit Netflix series Sweet Tooth, random passers-by are introduced to a real live animatronic hybrid baby.

The clip features a human-owl hybrid animatronic being taken through the streets of Los Angeles in a stroller, where everyone from beachgoing families to nuns get a look at the lifelike creation, cooing and gasping at the seemingly miraculous baby.

Sweet Tooth has received critical acclaim from critics and audiences alike. The series is set in a world brought to the brink of destruction by a cataclysmic event known as The Great Crumble, which also resulted in the birth of human-animal hybrids. The show is a live-action adaptation of the graphic novel written and illustrated by Jeff Lemire for DC's Vertigo imprint. The original series ran from 2009 to 2013. A sequel series, The Return, began hitting shelves in November 2020.

Sweet Tooth stars Nonso Anozie, Christian Convery, Adeel Akhtar, Stefania LaVie Owen, Dania Ramirez, Aliza Vellani and Neil Sandilands, with James Brolin and Will Forte. Season 1 is currently streaming on Netflix.
