Netflix's upcoming Riverdale offshoot, The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, has locked down a principal cast member.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Perfect Strangers actor Bronson Pinchot is set to recur as the villainous Principal George Hawthorne. Much like Principal Kraft in the original Sabrina, the Teenage Witch TV series, the character is reportedly going to serve as a major antagonist for Sabrina.

Pinchot is best known for his role as Balki Bartokomous on the ABC sitcom Perfect Strangers and his appearances in the Lethal Weapon franchise.

Sabrina was originally intended as a companion piece to The CW's Riverdale, before moving to Netflix with a deal for two ten-episode seasons. The series has been compared to the likes of Rosemary's Baby and The Exorcist, and is set to follow Sabrina as she struggles to balance her life at Baxter High with her magical training.

The series is the brainchild of Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, the showrunner on Riverdale and Chief Creative Officer of Archie Comics. Sacasa is writing, directing and executive producing the show alongside Riverdale 's Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Lee Toland Krieger and Archie Comics CEO Jon Goldwater. The show is loosely based on the comic series The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, which is also written by Sacasa with art by Robert Hack.

Debuting on Netflix, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina stars Kiernan Shipka as Sabrina Spellman, Michelle Gomez as Mary Wardwell/Madam Satan, Jaz Sinclair as Rosalind Walker, Chance Perdomo as Ambrose Spellman, Lucy Davis as Hilda Spellman, Miranda Otto as Zelda Spellman and Richard Coyle as Father Blackwood. Fans are still eagerly awaiting casting information for Sabrina’s boyfriend Harvey Kinkle.
