Netflix released new horror-themed posters for Ratched, its upcoming One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest prequel series.Courtesy of the streaming service's See What's Next Twitter account, the show has unveiled three new posters, teasing the bloody yet stylish show from producer Ryan Murphy. Starring Sarah Paulson (American Horror Story) as the titular nurse, the new season will delve into the infamous character's origin story during the 1940s.RELATED: Ryan Murphy's Queer Television Legacy

Netflix released the first trailer for Ratched yesterday, proving that while Murphy won't be showrunning the series (newcomer Evan Romansky has that honor), his signature aesthetic will be on full display. As teased by both the posters and trailer, the show will take a few cues from Murphy's previous work and dive more into the horror realm of things than the book and its 1975 film adaptation did.

The show was ordered to series by Netflix back in 2017, with two 18-episode seasons commissioned. Joining Paulson will be a slew of big names, including Sharon Stone, Vincent D'Onofrio, Corey Stoll, Don Cheadle, and Rosanna Arquette. Season 1 of the series will arrive next month.
