New series descriptions on the Netflix website have confirmed that "The Defenders" will be a Marvel superhero team up of Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist.

These updated descriptions were first spotted by Collider, who pointed out that Netflix had indeed updated their catalog with descriptions for all five of their Marvel shows. While these episode descriptions are brief and likely temporary, they are official from Netflix.

The only series missing from this list is the rumored Punisher spinoff, but that may not be confirmed by Netflix until after "Daredevil" season two, if it goes to series at all.

The official descriptions are as follows:

"Luke Cage" - "In this Marvel live action series, a street-fighting ex-con battles crime on the streets of New York as the Super Hero, Luke Cage."

"Iron Fist" - "Marvel's Iron Fist" follows Super Hero and martial arts master Danny Rand in the upcoming live-action series."

"The Defenders" - "Marvel's The Defenders" brings together Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist and Luke Cage in an epic Super Hero team-up in New York City."

While no release dates have been announced for these shows yet, CBR will keep you updated when Netflix announces its schedule. The next Marvel/Netflix series to debut is "Daredevil" season two, which lands on March 18.
