WARNING: The following contains spoilers for Season 1 of Jupiter's Legacy, now streaming on Netflix.

In Jupiter's Legacy Season 1, the character of Raikou Sampson -- played by Ant-Man alum Anna Akana -- seemingly meets her demise. However, following the recent news that Jupiter's Legacy had been canceled and would not return for a second season on Netflix, Akana has offered fans a spoiler regarding her character's true fate.

"So gutted that Jupiter's Legacy wasn't a renewed for a second season," Akana wrote on Twitter. "I guess it's now fine to spoil that Raikou actually isn't dead -- she created a mind palace, akin to Walter, in order to convince him she was no longer a threat. But for now -- RIP Raikou and team!"

Based on the Millarworld/Image Comics series of the same name written by Mark Millar and illustrated by Frank Quietly, Jupiter's Legacy follows a new generation of superheroes who struggle to live up to the rigid ideals and high expectations of their elders. While the show will not be getting a second season, Netflix has announced a spinoff in the form of a live-action Supercrooks series, which will put the focus on the Millarworld's villains. (This is in addition to the Supercrooks anime adaptation that has already been in the works for some time.)

Jupiter's Legacy stars Josh Duhamel as The Utopian, Ben Daniels as Brainwave, Leslie Bibb as Lady Liberty, Elena Kampouris as Chloe Sampson, Andrew Horton as Brandon Sampson, Mike Wade as The Flare, Anna Akana as Raikou and Matt Lanter as Skyfox. Season 1 is available on Netflix now.
