Netflix released the first footage from the English dub of Godzilla Singular Point.The two-minute clip features Rodan attacking a busy metropolitan area and ends just as the kaiju is poised to attack two helpless humans.
Announced in October 2020, Godzilla Singular Point takes place in Nigashio City, Chiba Prefecture in the year 2030 and centers on an engineer and a grad student who are drawn together after hearing a mysterious song. The series premiered on Netflix in Japan in March 2021 before arriving on other Japanese channels in April.
Singular Point is Netflix's latest venture into the Godzilla universe following 2018's Godzilla: Planet of the Monsters, Godzilla: City on the Edge of Battle and Godzilla: The Planet Eater. However, the character's latest outing was in Warner Bros.'s epic clash of the titans, Godzilla vs. Kong.
Brought together by a mysterious song, a grad student and an engineer lead the fight against an unimaginable force that may spell doom for the world.
Directed by Atsushi Takahashi and written by Toh Enjoe, Godzilla Singular Point arrives on Netflix June 24.
