Netflix has released the first images for the animated Fast & Furious: Spy Racers, its upcoming addition to the Fast & Furious franchise.
The Fast & Furious animated series follows Tony Toretto, the teenage cousin of Vin Diesel's Dominic Toretto. Tony and his friends find themselves recruited by a government agency to infiltrate a racing league in order to get close enough to SH1FT3R, which is described as a "nefarious crime organization." Of course, SH1FT3R is out for world domination, so it will be up to Tony and his crew to bring the organization in for their crimes.
Universal Pictures and DreamWorks Animation also announced the voice cast to go along with the first look images. Teen Wolf star Tyler Posey will voice the young spy racer Tony Toretto; Camille Ramsey (American Vandal) stars as underground SH1FT3R racer Layla Gray; Harry Potter's Luke Youngblood plays the 13-year-old techie genius Frostee Benson; Charlet Chung of Overwatch fame is the talented artist and spy Echo; and Jorge Diaz (Jane the Virgin) as Cisco Renaldo, the muscle and the sweetheart of Tony's crew.
Guest voices also include Frostee’s younger sister Sissy, voiced by Similce Diesel; Renée Elise Goldsberry (Hamilton) is Ms. Nowhere, the team's secret agent liaison; Manish Dayal (The Resident) is SH1FT3R's leader Shashi Dhar; and American Vandal's Jimmy Tatro is local knucklehead Mitch;
