Netflix unveiled the full cast of Scott "Kid Cudi" Mescudi's new animated series Entergalactic.
Revealed as a part of Netflix's Geeked Week 2022 showcase, the highly-anticipated show boasts a star-studded casts. Audiences can expect to hear Mescudi, Jessica Williams, Timothée Chalamet, Tyrone "Ty Dolla $ign" Griffin, Laura Harrier, Vanessa Hudgens, Christopher Abbott, Danielle "070 Shake" Balbuena, Jaden Smith, Keith David, Teyana Taylor, Arturo Castro and Macaulay Culkin.
Beyond Entergalactic's brief teaser trailer, Netflix also provides some more insight into the series' characters. Mescudi is plpaying Jabari, a "charming, creative visionary with a splash of goofball" who embarks upon a quest through New York City to overcome his final hurdle of adulthood: finding true love. He'll be joined by William's Meadow, Jabari's new neighbor who is "not only the coolest girl at the party, she’s the realest." Chalamet will feature in the show as Jimmy, Jabari's best friend who doubles as his drug dealer despite his newfound interest in cryptocurrencies and conspiracy theories.
Netflix also provides a brief synopsis of Entergalactic, teasing that the series will tell a story of love and creativity. "Scott 'Kid Cudi' Mescudi and Kenya Barris join forces to present Entergalactic, an original, animated story about a young artist named Jabari — voiced by Mescudi — as he attempts to balance love and success. Finding the latter brings Jabari a step closer to the former, when moving into his dream apartment introduces him to his new neighbor, photographer it-girl, Meadow — voiced by Jessica Williams. An explosion of art, music, and fashion, Entergalactic takes place in the only city that can handle all three: New York."
Entergalactic does not yet have a release date.
