As part of its Geeked Week celebrations, Netflix unveiled the first trailer for Edens Zero.

Based on the manga of the same name written and illustrated by Hiro Mashima, Edens Zero follows the young boy Shiki Granbell, who boards the Edens Zero starship to find the cosmic goddess, Mother. Along for the ride are aspiring social media influencer Rebecca Bluegarden and her robotic cat, Happy.

The anime adaptation stars Mikako Komatsu (Ajin) as Rebecca, Rie Kugimiya as Happy, reprising her role from the Fairy Tale anime, and Takuma Terashima (Ultraman Taiga) as Shiki. It will premiere worldwide on Netflix on Aug. 26.

The anime was announced back in 2020 by creator Mashima. It is produced by J.C.Staff and directed by Yūshi Suzuki. Shinji Ishihara serves as chief director, Mitsutaka Hirota wrote the scripts, Yurika Sako designed the characters and Yoshihisa Hirano composed the music. The Japanese manga is published in Weekly Shōnen Magazine, while the English version is available on Crunchyroll, Comixology and Amazon Kindle.

Edens Zero stars Mikako Komatsu, Rie Kugimiya and Takuma Terashima. It will stream on Netflix on Aug. 26.
