It appears multiple timelines will once more intersect, with nuclear power plants and what seems to be ties to the occult spelling doom and gloom for Europe. Jonas appears destined to join a resistance as he tries to figure out what happened to his loved ones after in the Season 1 finale.

It's apparent from this teaser that Jonas will be trying to find his way back home to the present, with missing kids, corrupt cops and a destroyed village one more proving to be the key to salvation as Jonas attempts to unlock what he did wrong in trying to stop the apocalypse.

Dark, which premiered in 2017, initially focused on a small German town wrecked by suicide, infidelities and spiteful families. However, as the show progressed, their problems got more intricate thanks to the appearance of a mysterious stranger, who helped Jonas unravel a unique destiny and prevent a literal nuclear meltdown.
