It's been announced that the upcoming Netflix fantasy film Damsel will star Stranger Things' Millie Bobby Brown.

According to a press release from Deadline, the 16 year old Godzilla: King of the Monsters actor is set to star in and executive produce the fantasy feature, coming on the heels of her break-out hit Enola Holmes.

Damsel adds even more to Brown's already packed schedule of upcoming film and television that includes: The Girls I've Been, Stranger Things Season 4, Godzilla vs. Kong, The Thing About Jellyfish and possible Enola Holmes sequels she's expressed interest in creating.

The fantasy genre is familiar territory for the Emmy-nominated Brown, who has made a career out of roles in lighthearted dramas with magical realism. In a screenplay written by Dan Mazeau (Wrath of the Titans), Damsel follows the young Princess Elodi (Brown) who is promised to be married to a prince but discovers she's actually going to be sacrificed to a fire-breathing dragon. Consequently, Princess Elodi must transform herself into a fiery warrior in order to fight off the dragon hunting her down in a fantastical, coming-of-age tale.

Directed by Oscar nominated Spanish filmmaker Juan Carlos Fresnadillo (28 Weeks Later), casting details for Damsel have not yet been revealed. Netflix has not yet announced a release date for the project.
