In a teaser for the upcoming live-action adaptation of Cowboy Bebop, Netflix offered a dog's-eye-view of the production studio.

The teaser video follows a corgi as it makes its way through a production set, until it ends up in a room with the previously announced cast members for Cowboy Bebop: John Cho (Spike Spiegal), Mustafa Shakir (Jet Black), Daniella Pineda (Faye Valentine) and Alex Hassell (Vicious). The corgi joins the rest of the cast at a table and begins drinking out of a bowl labeled "Ein." The video concludes with the message, "Cowboy Bebop Now in Production."

Fans of the original Cowboy Bebop will recognize Ein as the highly intelligent corgi that joined the crew of the Bebop on many of their adventures. Ein has a special relationship with a young hacker named Ed, whose casting hasn't been announced for the live-action version yet.

Marvel Netflix director Alex Garcia Lopez will direct the Cowboy Bebop pilot, which was written by executive producer Christopher Yost. Shinichiro Watanabe, who directed the original anime, serves as consultant on the series.

According to the series synopsis,

Based on the worldwide phenomenon from Sunrise Inc., Cowboy Bebop is the jazz-inspired, genre-bending story of Spike Spiegel, Jet Black, Faye Valentine and Radical Ed: a rag-tag crew of bounty hunters on the run from their pasts as they hunt down the solar system’s most dangerous criminals. They’ll even save the world…for the right price.

Netflix's live-action Cowboy Bebop series does not yet have a release date.
