WARNING: The following contains spoilers for Blood of Zeus Season 1, currently streaming on Netflix.

Netflix's Blood of Zeus presents many intersecting threads as its hero, Heron, tries to find his true purpose in the pantheon of the gods. As he adjusts to being Zeus' son, he struggles with why his mom, Electra, had to endure such a tragic destiny, as well as why his half-brother, Seraphim, is adamant about death and destruction.

Factor in a civil war happening on Olympus, too, and you can see there's a lot going on with Heron at the center of it all as he tries to save the planet from all these malevolent forces. Luckily, he stops Seraphim and Hera following a major sacrifice from Zeus, but there are some questions related to the past and future that need answering in a possible Season 2.

What Happened to Zeus' Giants?

When Zeus, disguised as Elias, told the early story of the gods to Heron, he revealed the Giants sprung up from the blood of the last Titan that hit the ocean. However, as this new war raged on, Zeus was able to convince two of the behemoths to betray their kind. The kaiju-like figures did just that, attacking their brethren so Zeus, Hera and Co. could seal their souls away in a cauldron as their bodies dropped to the seafloor.

However, the series doesn't address what happened to the two that switched sides. There's no mention where they went to or what was offered in return for their services. Zeus could have called upon them when the Giants resurfaced under Hera, but instead, they're never brought up again.

Where is Hera Now?

When the Giants' leader turned on Hera after she freed his clan, Zeus saved his bitter wife as she was about to be killed. It cost him his life only for Seraphim to fly in and cut her hand off, trying to kill her. However, Hera's blackbirds swarmed him and she disappeared, leaving fans clueless as to where she went.

The final scene shows Seraphim and Hades discussing a possible new assault on Olympus but there's no sign of Hera. This leaves us wondering if she'll go and heal herself before trying to come back and atone for her mistakes. Her jealousy almost destroyed Olympus and as she still loved Zeus, she could be willing to seek redemption by helping Heron and the new council.

What Happened to Hera's Disciples?

During the civil war, Hades sided with Hera as they were sick and tired of Zeus' meddling with mortals, which brought half-human demigods to Olympus such as Apollo, Hermes and now, Heron. But as the Giants turned on her, they also tried to kill her followers. Interestingly, Hermes used his super-speed to save Ares, so it seemed like everyone became peachy again.

But after the war, as New Olympus is rebuilt, we didn't see Ares or the other traitors. It'd be nice to know whether or not they're being given a second chance to make things right. They may have been exiled and are seeking Hera out as a leader, but we can see Heron and the others, especially Poseidon, willing to let bygones be bygones.

Why Didn't Zeus Take Seraphim's Weapons?

Throughout the season, Seraphim (powered by the remains of a Giant) uses a spear/bident he got from a Giant carcass. But when he attacks Heron and brings his demonic legion to Olympus, Zeus doesn't take the weapon away. It's odd because in a previous meeting, the Thunderer demonstrates control of it as it belongs to one of his pantheon (later on, we find out it's Hades' weapon), so it would have made sense for him to take it so Seraphim couldn't keep trying to kill Heron.

This may have all been part of the Fates' plans and Zeus had to let it play out, though did intervene repeatedly to save Heron and Hera. And so, he had all the reason in the world to take the spear back to Hades and even the odds, especially as he found out Hera and Seraphim were going to command the Giants to raid his kingdom. Zeus' adamantine sword he made for Heron was also stolen by Seraphim and used to kill Talos and take the cauldron. So, one has to wonder why Zeus left him with this sword, too, and if anyone has gone to Talos' lair and found it in the robot's eye.

Where Are the Remains of the Fallen Giant?

Heron's crew tracked the Giant down to burn it, which would have killed Seraphim and his demons off, but when they found the lair, Seraphim had the body hidden. However, it's never revealed where it went or who's looking after it. Evios and Kofi sold pieces of it, not the entire thing, so not even these two thieves know its location.

It's going to be imperative to find this corpse because more humans could be converted like Seraphim was if they continue devouring this flesh, along with the Giant's dark energy. As it didn't reappear, there's reason to believe that there will be a power vacuum, leaving room for a new demon leader to appear after Seraphim died at Heron's hands and met Hades in Tartarus.

Starring Jason O'Mara, Mamie Gummer, Chris Diamantopoulos, Derek Phillips and Jessica Henwick, Blood of Zeus Season 1 is currently streaming on Netflix.
