Netflix has signed a multi-year deal with Titmouse, the animation studio behind Big Mouth.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Titmouse will develop multiple original adult animated series for Netflix. The streaming service will also get first-look privileges for the animation studio's other original content, which allows Netflix an exclusive look at Titmouse's projects before they are shopped to other networks.

"Titmouse has been at the forefront of the evolving animation industry and is the creative force behind an impressive variety of projects, including our very own Big Mouth and The Midnight Gospel,” Netflix's Head of Adult Animation Mike Moon said in a statement. “We’re thrilled to expand our collaboration with Chris [Prynoski], Shannon [Prynoski] and the entire team at Titmouse as we continue to develop and produce bold original animation together."

"When Netflix asked if we wanted to go steady, we were thrilled," Titmouse president and founder Chris Prynoski added. "When we asked if it could be an open relationship, they said, ‘Yeah, of course. It’s the 21st century, kid. That’s the only way we’ll have it.’ Now we are friends with benefits and I couldn’t be more stoked. This new and exciting relationship will help quench our relentless thirst for producing animated cartoons. Excuse me, I’m gonna go carve NF+TM on a tree now."

In addition to Big Mouth, Titmouse will bring Pendleton Ward and Duncan Trussell's upcoming comedy The Midnight Gospel to Netflix as well. Netflix renewed Big Mouth for three more seasons just last July, which ensures new content through 2022.

Titmouse's new content joins Netflix's already robust slate of animated series. After the streaming service's critically-acclaimed BoJack Horseman wraps later this month, there is plenty more on the way, including Hoops, Inside Job, The Liberator, Titmouse's Q Force.

Big Mouth features the voice talents of Nick Kroll, John Mulaney, Jessi Klein, Jason Mantzoukas, Jenny Slate and Fred Armisen, with Maya Rudolph and Jordan Peele. All three seasons are currently available to stream on Netflix.
