Avatar: The Last Airbender voice actor James Sie is reportedly reprising his fan-favorite role in Netflix's upcoming live-action adaptation.

According to Avatar News, Sie will portray the Cabbage Merchant in Netflix's Avatar: The Last Airbender. Sie voiced the character in the original animated series of the same name, which aired on Nickelodeon for three seasons from 2005 to 2008. He later voiced Lau Gan-Lan, son of the Cabbage Merchant and owner of Cabbage Corp, in Avatar's sequel series, The Legend of Korra, which itself ran for four seasons from 2012 to 2014. Sie also voiced Oyaji in Avatar and Shung in The Legend of Korra.

Despite only appearing in a few episodes of Nickelodeon's Avatar: The Last Airbender, Sie's Cabbage Merchant is a beloved comic relief character among fans of the animated series. Characterized by his continued misfortune, the Cabbage Merchant would often react in horror as his beloved cabbage cart was destroyed or otherwise sullied.

Of course, Sie has plenty of voice acting credits outside the Avatar franchise. Besides the Cabbage Merchant, he is perhaps best known for voicing Eddy Raja in the Uncharted video game series, as well as for voicing a fictionalized version of Jackie Chan in the animated series Jackie Chan Adventures.
