Nerdarchy In The U.S.A.

This year’s U.S. Presidential Election is arguably the most important race in history, with viewership of debates, registration of young voters, and amounts of campaign money raised all at record highs.

The candidates — Senator John McCain of Arizona and Senator Barack Obama of Illinois -- and their issues have inspired considerable response from the comic book, internet and other nerd-related communities, which have been ceaselessly producing both original and remixed artwork, videos, comics, cartoons, iconography, graffiti, and other such creative endeavors in a demonstration of political activism markedly different from traditional political cartoons, and unique to internet culture and fans of genre fiction. Ironically, much of these expressions are decidedly anarchic in nature.

With just four days left until November 4 (don’t forget to vote!), CBR presents this gallery of such work, which we hope you’ll help us grow in the coming days. Have you created a genre-esque response to the election? Did you come across an image or video you thought was too classic to forget? Send us your artwork and links and we’ll add them to this feature. Please put NERDARCHY in the subject line or it may be missed! Alternatively, you can always post items in the CBR Community forum.
