A new season of Jon Glaser's Neon Joe, Werewolf Hunter starts later this month on Adult Swim, and it'll be accompanied by a new one-shot comic book courtesy of DC Entertainment's Custom Creative Studio, released free to comic book store. CBR has the exclusive first look at the cover for the comic, illustrated by superstar artist Alex Maleev.

This is the second Neon Joe, Werewolf Hunter comic published by DC, with the first one coinciding with the show's debut in late 2015. This issue will have the same creative team as the first: It's written by the show's star and creator, Jon Glaser, and illustrated by comics veterans Jan Duursema and Tom Mandrake.

The new Neon Joe, Werewolf Hunter comic will be available on May 22, the same day as the show's second season premiere, at 1,500 participating comic book shops. (Of course, check with your local retailer for availability.)

Here's the official description of the new season: "Season two picks up after Neon Joe finally got revenge on his father and decided to retire from werewolf hunting to satisfy another life goal: opening his tropical themed dream bar, Oahu Joe's. But it's not all peaceful in paradise, as the bar's struggles are compounded by an ominous visit from Joe's past, that forces him to not only confront his demons, but puts Neon Joe back into the werewolf hunting game."

Like the first season of Neon Joe, Werewolf Hunter, the second round of the live-action series will consist of five episodes running over five consecutive nights, from May 22 to May 26, airing at midnight each night.
