Whether you’re a fan of anime and manga or not, chances are you’ve at least heard of Naruto. It’s one of the most popular Japanese titles of all time and it has a wide variety of characters and stories, making it something that can be enjoyed by many.
Because of the show’s popularity, its characters are a common sight at cosplay events, and we dug through the depths of Instagram and found these 10 amazing cosplays of one of these awesome characters: Neji Hyuga. All of these portrayals are pretty awesome, but the entries in this list aren't arranged in any particular order. Let's get to it.
10 kuroni_mrs.scamander.97
First off we have this clean portrayal of Neji from Shippuden. It's simple but well done and the composition of this shot is really nice. Kuroni is a cosplayer from Prague, and her Instagram is filled with not only cosplay of anime characters, but also characters from different movies, games, and even one of the characters from the K-pop group KDA (League of Legends). Her creativity doesn’t just shine through her portrayals though, she also has some original artwork and costumes up on her profile and everything is very nice.
9 hunbee_cosplay
Another one from Shippuden, hunbee_cosplay shows us another clean and simple portrayal of Neji. This one’s pretty cool because you can see the attention to detail she put into the shadows and lines of the Byakugan around her eyes.
Her Instagram shows this attention to detail across her posts, with the intricacies of her costumes and looks, but her page is not just filled with her cosplays. There are also shots of the events she attends and those she comes across. It’s nice to see how much fun she has, as well as the amazing costumes she and her colleagues make.

When it comes to cosplay, makeup can change how an entire look turns out. This portrayal is one pulled from the great ninja war and is an example of amazing detail taken to the contouring and other makeup details. This is something you see throughout Nauti’s Instagram profile with her different portrayals. She’s cosplayed as several different characters and they all look pretty impressive, and it’s nice to see the cosplays of those around her as well.

Another one from the great ninja war, the detail in this cosplay is shown again in the Byakugan around her eyes that seem to pop and the blood on the corner of her mouth. Taiyo is a UK cosplayer and her feed is filled with impressive portrayals of many different characters.
Scrolling through her feed, it's amazing to see how she transforms into the characters she chooses because you can also find non-cosplay posts on her profile, and looking at everything it can be hard to believe that they're the same person.
6 _grey.cos
While looking for these cosplays, it was interesting to find that there weren’t many men that portrayed Neji. Grey is a Korean cosplayer that has a lot of varied content on his Instagram page. This particular post was a throwback to a few years prior, and it’s really cool. Looking through his feed, his portrayals are so detailed and it looks like he doesn’t only do characters from games and anime, but idols as well so that’s cool too.

This one is particularly impressive because of the effort put into the details of the grime, scratches, and blood. Vel’s decision to take the most tragic time of Neji’s life makes her version pop out from all the others, and with her being only 22, I’m sure she’ll have many more amazing ones to come. Even now, you can see the awesome things that she's capable of on her Instagram page, including more Naruto characters and even a portrayal of Kizuna Ai.

This is another portrayal of Neji that’s super clean with a wonderfully composed photo. Antoshka is a violinist and cosplayer whose feed shows a lot of artistic shots with friends that tell a story, as well as portrayals of other characters too. There are also close up profile shots and those that showcase life and experiences outside cosplay. It’s nice to see these artistic shots and the detail that goes into not only the outfits but the makeup and photo compositions as well.

Bess is a 20-year-old cosplayer from Florida. This Neji cosplay is one of the most recent posts on his feed, and it doesn’t seem like he’s been active in the last year.
Nonetheless, this is a very clean portrayal, down to the pose, and it’s something that’s pretty consistent in his other work. It seems he likes to cosplay with his friends, and the character he portrays the most is Todoroki from My Hero Academia.

The oldest entry on this list, Hakken is a cosplayer from Malaysia and if you look at his Instagram, it’s filled with incredible fashion looks and cosplays that look almost CG or photoshopped. His makeup skills are so impressive and detailed that it adds so much to the characters he portrays. His work includes Rohan and Bucciarati from JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, Tomioka from Demon Slayer, and Arthur from Fate/Grand Order.

This cosplay is not only a nice one down to the details, but also has a photo taken that's amazingly composed and shot. Wegenaer is a European cosplayer who seems to do a lot of Naruto cosplays. Her Instagram is not only filled with her amazing cosplays, but also her partner’s. They’re both really amazing cosplayers and they've done a lot of characters, all with an incredible amount of detail that's striking to see.
