Toy company NECA announced that they will be adding Baby Groot to their roster of life-size figures (which currently boasts slightly-less-cute models of characters like Freddy Kreuger and the Predator). While the National Entertainment Collectables Association is one of the many to already offer a potted Baby Groot, as seen in the first "Guardians of the Galaxy," this is one of the first merchandising announcements for the sequel coming next summer. Look below, and debate the pros and cons of Toddler Groot (Pro: Look how little he is! Con: But not AS little as he use to be.) Rocket Raccoon shown for scale.

Unfortunately, you won't be able to buy this as a last-minute Hail Mary Christmas gift. The figurine will be released in April next year. You'll still be able to get Groot as well as a plethora of other toys and merchandise in time for "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2's" May 5 premiere. Until then, you'll have to be content with watching the trailers over and over again, waiting for each glimpse of our little plant friend.
