Ever since Comic-Con International in San Diego was canceled in favor of the virtual Comic-Con@Home event, fans have wondered how the convention will play out. Now there is news that quite a bit of pre-preparation may have went into the planned presentations.

TheWrap is reporting that of the 300 to 400 online panels scheduled for the event, the majority of them will be pre-recorded by studios and networks and submitted in advance. At this time Comic-Con does not currently "anticipate anything live," according to a spokesperson. However, there is a possibility of  "live elements to some programming."

Comic-Con chose to cancel its 2020 event due to the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. This marks the first time in 51 years that the event will not be held. However, in May the Comic-Con@Home event was announced, promising "personalized snacks, free parking and no lines," as well as access to anyone with an Internet connection.

Several panels for the event have already been announced, including shows for Hulu and Disney+ among others. Comic-Con@Home will release its full schedule of panels two weeks before the event.

The ComicCon@Home event will be live-streamed from July 22-26 on Comic-Con's official YouTube channel.
