Apparently impressed with his very particular set of skills, NBC has tapped "Vikings" veteran Clive Standen to star Bryan Mills in its adaptation of "Taken."

Deadline reports Standen will shift into his "Taken" role "after completing his obligations" on the History drama, suggesting his days as Rollo are numbered.

Executive produced by Luc Besson, who created the Liam Neeson film franchise, the series will center on Mills' younger days in the CIA (while still being set in the present).

In addition to "Vikings," Standen's credits include the British dramas "Doctor Who," "Robin Hood" and "Camelot."
