David O. Russell has said adios to Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, abandoning the walking dead period piece in favor of adapting the video game Uncharted: Drake's Fortune -- and Firefly's Nathan Fillion wants to set sail with him.
Fillion is no stranger to impassioned casting campaigns from his fans, with legions of his supporters having pushed for roles such as Hal Jordan in Green Lantern and Hank Pym in The Avengers. Never one to pass on stirring the pot, Fillion took the occasion of the Uncharted news to goad his Twitter followers on the path of a new campaign.
"If ever there was a Twitter campaign, let this be it," Fillion said of his hopeful Uncharted involvement. "Rise, ye Browncoats. Rise, ye Castillions. RISE!"
Having played the space-faring rogue Mal Reynolds for far too short a time on Firefly and Serenity, Fillion would be right at home in the shoes of Nate Drake, the charismatic hero at the center of the Uncharted series. If you're a Fillion fan hoping to make your voice heard on this project, you certainly have the actor's own endorsement.
